NYGER / THISTLE
Nyjer(TM) seed, typically known as Thistle is a high-energy food source that’s perfect for finches and other small-beaked birds. Nyjer attracts all types of finches including American Goldfinches, Purple Finches, House Finches and Pine Siskins. Nyjer is best used in a feeder made specifically for the seed – a thistle feeder. The small openings prevent the seed from spilling, and make it difficult for larger birds to get at the seed – allowing the feeder to become selective for smaller birds.
Smaller birds like finches typically get bullied off of regular feeders by more aggressive birds like jays. Give them their own feeder and they will reward you with beautiful colors & songs year-round. Contains 15% crude protein, 25% crude fat and 25% crude fiber. Available in a 3 pound bag.
